Battalion Assembly
The Battalion mustered into formation
on BG IV tonight. Again there was an incredible turnout by BHC
members at this evenings event. Tonight was the unveiling of our
new Fort BHC which has been created as our new Base of Operations and
Training Facility. A special thanks goes out to Ltc Skyguy
for his incredible work and also to Cpt BionicNipple and Pfc
RupTurE for all their expertise in helping put everything together.
Well done. As everyone formed up on the Parade Grounds, Ltc Skyguy
got everything in order and introduced Gen Carbine. Gen Carbine
addressed the ranks and had some announcements regarding the state of
BHC. He also announced that a few promotions and awards were to be
handed out during tonight's assembly.
Ltc Skyguy also addressed the Battalion and coordinated the proceedings in regards to Promotions
and Awards which various Officers and NCO's were called upon to conduct
their presentations. All announcements that transpired are listed
below.

Repo for stepping forward and volunteering to take on this duty.
After all announcements were made, Ltc Skyguy then took everyone on a
tour of the new Base of Operations and Training facility. After
the tour the ranks broke into two groups and conducted a couple of
scrims over the evening. A lot of fun was had by all.

Battalion Assembly - Year End 2008
The Battalion assembled for its "Year End
Blowout" which is a regular scheduled event at the end of each year.
This event took place on Jan
03, 2009 to start off the New Year. It was a fantastic turnout on
the BG-IV server by
all our members who were able to attend the evening's festivities.
To start things off, troops were addressed by Gen Leyte on the state of
BHC and our accomplishments through 2008. Transition of COD4 and
World at War. Acknowledgement of BHC for it's participation in the
TCL matches which resulted in a Championship in TCL awarded to BHC and
also our ongoing presence of BHC in OBL match (COD4) which is so far doing an
excellent job in helping win that campaign.
Ltc Skyguy also addressed the Battalion and coordinated the proceedings in regards to Promotions
and Awards which various Officers and NCO's were called upon to conduct
their presentations. All announcements that transpired are listed
below.
After presentations were awarded, the members broke up into teams and
played a game style of Capture the Flag in "Capture the Recruit" type of
scrim. A lot of fun was had by all who attended.
All of us here at BHC would like to wish everyone a Happy New Year and
best wishes for 2009.

COD - World at War
With the introduction of the next
installment of Call of Duty. World at War is showing signs of
strong sales on it's first day. With that being said, BHC has set
up a new server to host those people who are playing World at War
multiplayer and looking for that "Tactical Realism" style of play.

Campaign Announcement
Operation: Bayonet Lightning BHC has become involved in a new Campaign
in the TR gaming competition. OBL is a campaign style Tactical Realism
type tournament. Campaigns take Tactical competition to a whole
new level. Instead of 1 team coming out victorious your unit must work
side by side with multiple other TR units to achieve a common goal.
Think of a TR campaign similar to the game Risk. Units are moved on a
Campaign map in order to take territories, flank enemies, prevent enemy
advancements, and capture Strategic points. When your unit occupies the
same territory as a Unit from the other team, you play a match for
possession of the territory.
The following teams have been entered as follows:
Fighting for the Ukraine are 17th AB, 3rd ID, 504 PIR, 82nd AB, 7th CAV
and ETS
Fighting for the Russians are 29th ID-1, 29th ID-2, BAD CO, BHC-1,
BHC-2, JSOC

As everyone knows, the download speed of our
server has been a little less than spectacular during the last few
weeks. So we announce as of September 28, 2008 we here at BHC have
corrected these issues. You will now know that our maps, both
stock and custom, will download at a much quicker speed for your
enjoyment. Come check out our latest update to the map
rotation at BG-III (IP 8.12.23.9:28960) and experience Tactical Realism

BHC wins 2008 TCL Tournament
To quote one member "This season was Epic".
Each team had made their way through round robin matches and come
through the playoffs only to find themselves head to head in the finals.
1st Platoon had won more rounds in TCL than 2nd Platoon had so they got
to defend first. Both teams got together shook hands, took a few
snapshots and got ready to play a fun match of COD4.
In the end 2nd Platoon had ended up beating 1st Platoon 7 to 4 but this
was a match that could have gone either way. After the match was
over, again both sides got together to to congratulate each other and
talk about some of the special moments during the match. To quote
another "A great match and great fun was shared by all - the best way
possible to cap off the last match in BHC's improbably successful TCL
season." Congratulations to both Platoons for having a great
tournament and to the Platoon Leaders, 2Lt Preacherman and 2Lt
BlueEyedDevil who helped make this happen.

1Sg Freak has stepped forward to work as a mentor to developing
Squad Leaders. He has assumed the rank of Master Sergeant and
assigned as 1st Platoon XO Msg Freak will also serve double
duty as a mentor to future NCOs as an Instructor in the new NCO
Leadership School.
Sgt PapaG has been promoted to the rank of First Sergeant
and will serve in Company Headquarters.

victories in TCL and putting BHC into the finals.

single-handedly counterattacking the enemy and routing them to break the

TCL Match Update
Over the weekend, semifinal action took place with both BHC teams trying
to lock up a spot in the finals. BHC1 was facing off against
Bad Company and BHC2 heading up with 82nd. The outcome from these
two battles resulted in a BHC vs BHC match in the finals. The
practice and preparation that both of these teams took through the whole
TCL tournament has created a clash of the titans for the top spot.
Congratulations to both teams in making it to the finals and good luck.

BG-I Server to Retire - BHC COD2
It has been a very good run with Call of Duty 2, we have had
many many good battles and will find it hard to forget. But....
BHC has grown from Medal of Honor, Call of Duty, Breakthrough and United
Offensive and then landed on firm ground with Call of Duty 2.
We have enjoyed it greatly, but there comes a time when we must move on
and that time is Monday September 15th 2008.
We will continue to operate a 44 slot Call of Duty 4 server as well as
our private training and match server. We will have a variety of Mods to
introduce to shake things up and to help practice for our upcoming TCL
Matches.

1Lt BionicNipple has introduced a new Mod for the
BG-III server. The new Mod is called OpenWarfare and comes
with a lot of great cool features. 1Lt BionicNipple has advised
that this mod is still undergoing some "tweaking" to best suit BHC but
is up and running now. Come on out and try out the new Mod and see
for yourself.
